Drilling for Geology 2008

Drilling for Geology

The Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) is proud to host this conference focused solely on the collection and analysis of geological information from drilling. Be it exploration, mining or engineering, drilling is the prime method used for geological data collection and is often the biggest single cost centre for exploration and mine geology budgets.

Drilling For Geology 2008 is designed to provide geologists and geotechnical engineers with up to date nformation on all drilling related issues. Presentations will cover best practice, case studies, merging developments and blue sky R&D in the themes of:

  • Drilling logistics from planning and approvals to execution
  • Drilling techniques
  • Drill hole sampling and logging methods and applications
  • Borehole geophysics and measurement/logging whilst drilling
  • Geotechnical and metallurgical applications and methods

This conference is a must for all professionals who either plan drilling programmes or use the data provided by drilling in any field.  Plan to be in Brisbane 8 to 10 October 2008 and watch the Events page for further information.
