This one week course is an introduction to general, technical and financial management for professionals in the minerals sector with special emphasis on exploration management. The text for this course, EGRU Contribution 66 Management of Mineral Exploration by Dr Andrew White, is included in the course fee.

Dr White is a consultant geologist, management consultant and company director. His professional experience totals 45 years, and covers the fields of minerals exploration, petroleum exploration, mining, management, project development, valuation, research, education and company direction in the resource sector. He is widely known for his training programs in management of mineral exploration, and is author of  the text “Management of Mineral Exploration”, now in its second edition. He was the recipient of the 1998 President’s Medal, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He was Chairman of Icon Resources Ltd from 2005 to 2010 and was a Non-Executive Director of Carbine Tungsten Limited (formerly Icon) until January 2013. He is still closely involved in the development of Carbine Tungsten Limited’s Mt Carbine (North Queensland) tungsten mine.  He is a Non-Executive Director of Gossan Hill Gold Ltd and Chairman of South West Pacific Bauxite Pty Ltd.
