GeoTourism Brisbane

The Geological Society of Australia Queensland Division is holding a public lecture on 28th May 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Queensland Museum Auditorium to launch the The “Brisbane History in Stone and Brick” App.

The App was originally designed as a self-guided walking tour featuring building stones through Brisbane CBD. The handbook that was published by GSQ for the 34th International Geological Congress (IGC) in Brisbane in August 2012 was the for-runner of this App and the support by GSQ for the development of this product is duly acknowledged.

Even though a lot of “GSQ” man-hours went into the development of the GeoTourism App, the financial support was carried by the Geological Society of Australia, Queensland Division, with support from Global GBM.

The attached invite gives some more information on the presentations and other details relating to this project. Links to the App stores and to the Facebook page are also available (see below), so please take the time and download the FREE App and/or visit the Facebook page, which has posts of new sites not yet included in the App.

The lecture is open to anybody from the public, so any re-distribution of this invite is encouraged to other parties.

The App is available for free download from the Google and Apple App Stores.
