TOPIC: Unconventional Natural Gas Reservoirs

The talk will overview hydrocarbon frontiers particularly Unconventional Natural Gas Reservoirs. The basis is the unconventional reservoir spectrum. Issues like measuring gas volumes, production phases and production criteria will be addressed. Sweet spots, reservoir characteristics and production will be covered.  To conclude, the implications for greenhouse gas emissions and likely effects on climate will be described.

Bruce McConachie is a geologist with extensive experience in oil and gas resource evaluation and exploration. His career spans over 32 years and includes production, development and exploration roles. He has extensive experience covering petroleum exploration program design, field evaluation, production, and economic assessment. His qualifications and experience meet the requirements to act as a Competent Person to report resources under the JORC and assess deposits under the Valmin Code. He is qualified to report oil and gas field reserves and undertake unconventional gas assessments under PRMS.
