AEGC 2021 moving to a fully virtual event

Australian Institute of Geoscientists > Applied Geoscience > AEGC 2021 moving to a fully virtual event

Due to the ongoing challenges faced with COVID-19 and outbreaks nation-wide, the Organising Committee have made the decision to move AEGC 2021 to a fully virtual event and postpone the in-person Conference until 2023, in line with the next AEGC rotation.

Whilst holding a hybrid Conference was originally preferred, the ongoing escalation of the current situation and the health and safety of all stakeholders means we no longer feel that this is a viable option.

We have a fantastic technical program featuring incredible speakers and workshop presenters. To acknowledge all the work that has already been put into the program, the Organising Committee have decided to host a fully virtual Conference to provide presenters the opportunity to share their work with the community.

The 2023 Conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, in person, and the new dates will be formally announced once finalised.

If you are a delegate, presenter or sponsor, please be aware that we have emailed you on the next steps.  If you have not received this email yet, please contact the Conference Managers directly.

If you have any questions that have not been answered, please give us a call on +61 2 9265 0700 or email us at aegc@arinex.com.au

Thank you for supporting the AEGC Conference.  We look forward to either seeing you online in September or in person in Brisbane in 2023 or both!
