UST’s and Magmatic Silica Caps-A Field Review

Unidirectional solidification textures (UST’s) are useful exploration vectors for intrusion-related ore deposits, including porphyry systems. Magmatic silica caps may also be associated with cupolas where extreme overpressing of volatiles and fluids has occurred during the initial stage of ore forming processes
