Dating Albitites and Garnetites in the Broken Hill Domain and Curnamona Province

by Graham Teale

Been to Broken Hill? know a thing or two about how it was formed? Have no idea about Broken Hill? Ever wondered what the ‘BH’ in BHP stands for?  Well, this talk is for you.

But it’s not just the talk, it’s also a time to catch up with friends and the latest industry gossip over a pizza and a drink (beer, wine softie or other).

Albitites and garnetites are two of the many enigmatic lithotypes in the Broken Hill Domain and Curnamona Province. In-situ SHRIMP U-Pb age dating by Graham Teale and Mark Fanning on core from Portia has led to some “unusual observations” which will be discussed in this presentation…and for many years to come.

For geologists, geophysicists, industry friends and students.

Free Event. Everyone is welcome!
