9.30am for a 10am start
The Australian Institute of Geoscientists is organising a geological walk on the John Forrest Heritage Railway geotourism trail looking at the geology at various cuttings along the trail.
Led by Mike Freeman and John Bunting, the 3km walk takes approximately 3 hours. It is important that you carry water and wear sensible ‘closed’ shoes. Sunscreen and hat are recommended for protection in the sun. For those wanting to return through the railway tunnel a torch is recommended as it is very dark in the tunnel.
