Author talk – Junction Reefs & Glendate Mine, NSW, Geology, Mining & History.

Peter Toedter is a retired geologist living in Orange. Half of his exploration and mining life has been spent in the Central West generally to the south of Orange. Peter has worked at Junction Reefs as a Contract Geologist in 1978 and in 1993. From late 1994 to October 1995 he was the Mine Geologist for Climax Management Pty. Limited at the Glendale Mine 4km north of the Sheahan-Grants, Junction Reefs operation. The ore was treated at Sheahan-Grants. For the last months to the close of operations he was the Mill Superintendent, Mine Manager and Site Manager.

Author talk – The good the bad and the ugly: Tales from an exploration geophysicist

Kate is a versatile and successful geophysicist who has some of the most interesting companies and exciting deposits in Australia and worldwide. She has made several major discoveries through a combination of technical expertise and, equally importantly, integration with the full exploration team. She firmly believes that if you want to be successful, you need to draw on experienced open-minded expertise from across all disciplines and integrate them into an enthusiastic team that knows it can, and will, find ore deposits.
