The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (‘the JORC Code’) is a professional code of practice that sets minimum standards for Public Reporting of minerals Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. The Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) initiated an update to the Code to address issues identified in the application of the Code since it was last revised. The draft JORC Code will be available for a 3-month public feedback period from August to October via the JORC website. JORC will present an overview of the draft JORC Code, including an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on any areas of change or interest. His career has included mine geology, resource development, resource evaluation, ore control and ore reserves compliance for a number of commodities including Iron, Copper, Gold and Uranium. He has worked for juniors, large companies including Rio Tinto and in consulting. He has been a member of JORC since 2005 and Chair since 2014. Graham Jeffress, JORC Executive Member Ann is General Manager Exploration with Mako Gold Ltd, an ASX-listed junior company that she co-founded. Ann is an AIG member with over 30 years’ experience in mineral exploration in various commodities with both junior and major companies in Canada, Africa and Australia. Ann has been involved in five gold discoveries in West Africa, three of which she oversaw from discovery to the resource estimation stage, and one through the Initial Scoping Study.
