Geo-employment Issues amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic

AIG Qld Branch is pleased to host an informal E-forum for members (and non-members) to discuss employment-related issues in the current Coronavirus pandemic. Topics for the E-forum include:

• Employment law issues arising from the COVID-19 outbreak, including redundancies, unpaid stand-downs, forced leave, and other options available to employers;
• Work health and safety issues to consider, both in the principal workplace and in any home workspaces;
• Jobkeeper eligibility and Jobkeeper enabling directions;
• COVID-19 award flexibility.

The E-forum will start with a presentation from Lara Radik, a special counsel in Carter Newell Lawyers Workplace Advisory team focusing on workplace and industrial relations and workplace health and safety. Lara has nearly 15 years’ post admission experience advising in these areas across a wide range of industries and client types. Following Lara’s presentation, there will be a question and answer session to follow up on any geo-employment concerns or queries you have.
