Southern carpark Off Swan Rd
along the JOHN FORREST HERITAGE RAILWAY geotourism trail
The Australian Institute of Geoscientists is organising a geological walk on the John Forrest Heritage Railway geotourism trail looking at the geology at various cuttings along the trail.
The 3km walk takes approximately 3 hours. It is important that you carry water and wear sensible ‘closed’ shoes. Sunscreen and a hat are recommended for protection in the sun.For those wanting to return through the railway tunnel a torch is recommended as it is very dark in the tunnel.
