The JORC Code sets out explicit requirements for public reporting of Exploration Results and Exploration Targets, and provides recommendations and guidelines to assist geologists with establishing sound processes to support the reporting of these activities, including The Checklist of Assessment and Reporting Criteria (JORC Code Table 1).
This workshop is designed as a refresher for geological staff who currently take Competent Person responsibility for public reporting of Exploration Results and/or Exploration Targets; or those that may be able to do so now or in the near future. The workshop will provide an overview of the key elements of the Code and how it is monitored, focusing on the issues most relevant to Competent Person responsibility. It will present common exploration-related compliance issues and cover relevant rules of the Australian Securities Exchange. Reporting case studies will be used to illustrate how the JORC Code is applied.
All participants will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance from AIG for each workshop attended in full, showing the number of CPD hours completed.
In addition, participants may choose to receive a formal Certificate of Completion from AIG for each workshop attended. This certificate requires the participant to successfully complete a short online assessment within two weeks of completing the workshop to demonstrate an adequate understanding of the workshop content. This additional certification costs $25.
