Mineral exploration and mining companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and New Zealand Exchange are required to report on their activities in accordance with the respective exchange’s Listing Rules. These rules require companies to comply with the JORC Code when reporting Exploration Results and Exploration Targets, Mineral Resources, and Ore Reserves. For ASX-listed companies the listing rules have a number of specific requirements that are additional to the JORC Code.
This workshop is designed as a refresher for geological staff who currently take Competent Person responsibility for public reporting of exploration and mining information; or those that may be able to do so now or in the near future. The workshop will provide an overview of the key elements of the JORC Code, Competent Person responsibilities and common compliance issues, together with a review of ASX rules relevant to the reporting of exploration and mining information. Reporting case studies will be used to illustrate how the JORC Code and ASX rules are applied.
All participants will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance from AIG for each workshop attended in full, showing the number of CPD hours completed.
In addition, participants may choose to receive a formal Certificate of Completion from AIG for each workshop attended. This certificate requires the participant to successfully complete a short online assessment within two weeks of completing the workshop to demonstrate an adequate understanding of the workshop content. This additional certification costs $25.
AIG Members: $220
