Session Summaries: (Each session approx. 90 minutes. Times TBC) Day 1: Session 1: Introduction to exploration geochemistry, dispersion mechanisms, sample media, and analytical methods Session 2: Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC). Are you collecting good samples? Session 3: How do we look at data, validation, dilution and enrichment Session 4: Soil geochemistry, geobotany and biogeochemistry with case studies Day 2: Session 1: Stream sediments and alluvial gold case studies, with case studies Session 2: Alteration, mineralisation, lithogeochemistry, and drill data Session 3: QAQC in surveys and drilling programs Session 4: Review of the ‘geochemists tool kit’ including selective/partial extraction techniques and a deposit case studies. Discussion of techniques, final Q+ Presented by:Mark Arundell Mark Arundell is the principal geologist at IMEx Consulting. He has over 30 years of experience as an exploration geologist and geochemist and has worked throughout Australia and overseas. His multi-commodity experience encompasses precious, base and industrial minerals. Mark has extensive experience using multi-element geochemistry to assist targeting, and reviewing existing geochemical data sets. Mark is passionate about collecting quality samples and interpreting data rigorously. Dr. Richard Lilly Dr. Richard Lilly is the NExUS Program Leader at the University of Adelaide, and lectures economic geology. While working for Mount Isa Mines (2007-2015) he gained extensive field experience using geochemistry to explore for Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) and sediment-hosted (Cu-Pb-Zn) targets in covered terrain. Richard was named South Australian STEMM educator of the year in 2022. RegistrationFull Registration: $600 All prices inclusive of GST Download the flyer HERE! |
