Seminar details

The quality of exploration geochemical data is determined by several factors including sample collection, sample medium, and laboratory preparation and analysis procedures. We are often left to work miracles from poor quality or mixed quality historical data. How then to make the most from shrinking budgets?

There have been many advances in exploration geochemistry from sample collection, new and alternate sample media and analytical techniques, through to integrating data for better analysis and use of machine learning. Learn how to apply new techniques to squeeze more out of the data you already have.

Speakers

Dr Carl Brauhart of CSA Global will deliver a keynote address on The Role of Geochemistry in Understanding Mineral Systems. Other speakers include Mark Arundell (IMEx), Dr Joseph Tang (DNRM), Dr Mark Pirlo (Geochimica), Warwick Anderson (OreFox), Rod Carlson (AMC), Dr. Kenneth Collerson (KDC Consulting/SEES UQ), Dr Philip Main (Geoscience Australia), Dr Ryan Noble (CSIRO), Kane Maxwell (Peabody Energy), and Shaun Kenny (ALS Global).
