All mineral exploration properties can be valued – from grassroots tenements with little to no exploration activity, through mature exploration projects to properties where successful exploration has identified a Mineral Resource estimate. There are a range of appropriate valuation methods that can be used to value exploration projects and each method has its advantages and pitfalls. Valuation is a black-art and expert judgement is required. This forum will provide an introduction to exploration valuation methods and discuss some of the pro’s and con’s of the common methods in use.
