Angela Lorrigan
Angela began work in the mining industry back in the days when women were still asked if they thought they were strong enough to drive a four wheel drive before they were even considered for a job. She has equal measures of experience in mining and exploration geology and also in base metals and gold. Her work as a manager began in 1996 when she was promoted to Exploration Manager Cobar District for Pasminco Exploration because no-one else wanted to move to the most central city in NSW. She has since managed mining and exploration teams in NSW, Queensland and Tasmania for Pasminco, Zinifex (later OZ Minerals and MMG) and Bendigo Mining (later Unity Mining, now Diversified Minerals). In the course of time she has changed the company name on her shirt far more often than she has changed her job. She is currently General Manager, Growth and Discovery, for Diversified Minerals Pty Ltd.
