The Walford Creek Copper Cobalt Project in North West Queensland is Australia’s highest grade sulphide cobalt resource with copper. The high priority 100% owned Walford Project is currently being drilled with two rigs both inside the resource and along strike. The talk covers details about the history of the Project, its current status and some details on the geology and hence there is a bit for everyone. Aeon Metals’ website can be accessed here.
Dan Johnson is a Geologist with over 35 years’ experience in exploration and development in the resources sector with 25 years direct experience in Queensland Exploration. He has worked for a number of mining and exploration companies during his extensive career. His current role is as Exploration Manager for Aeon Metals Limited with a focus on advancing the exciting Walford Creek Base Metals Project in NW Queensland. Prior to that he was CEO of Aston Metals Limited and in that position, drove the exploration program at Walford since 2010. He has also held positions as Executive Director of Sovereign Metals Limited from May 2007 to February 2009 and between 2000 and 2007 he worked as a Consultant Geologist to MIM/Xstrata Copper Exploration where he was involved in a number of projects in the Cloncurry – Mount Isa region, including the Mount Isa Copper-Lead-Zinc system and at Ernest Henry.
