About Virtual Core To Cosmos AESC

The Geological Society of Australia invites you to the first Virtual Australian Earth Sciences Convention ‘Core to Cosmos’, on the 9-12 February, 2021.

The convention will showcase current trends and advances in earth science, including the latest findings on the deep structure and composition of our planet, our diverse crust and surface environments, developments in the energy and resources sectors and critically, the essential role that geoscience plays in our sustainable future.

Tasmania’s rich geological past has resulted in a varied and beautiful landscape, unique flora and fauna and a colourful mining history which has underpinned the local economy for more than a century. We hope that you can come south, enjoy our temperate summer and local attractions, and participate in a program showcasing the best of Australian earth science as well as field trips focussed on Tasmania’s diverse geology. We look forward to seeing you in Hobart!
