ArcGIS for Explorers Workshop
A two day workshop presented by SRK Consulting.

In this hands-on course tailored to geoscience professionals you will learn the fundamentals of ArcGIS by using practical exercises to process and support typical workflows used in the mining industry.

Key learnings and outcomes:

• Field data capture
• Understand the basics of GIS and ArcGIS Desktop software
• Obtain and create spatial data
• Organise and manage project data
• Query, analyse and manipulate data
• Create thematic maps
• Share data and maps

No prior knowledge of GIS or ArcGIS is required.

The workshop will be presented by Jason Beltran.  Jason has over 14 years’ experience in the GIS industry. His expertise in GIS project management includes implementing procedures for digital map creation and best practices in GPS field mapping. He currently works alongside a team of technical experts in geology, mining and environmental science to manage all GIS data within SRK. He works with his clients to improve efficiency by developing data management systems and providing onsite training and support.
