Talk title: Tourmaline Breccia Pipes Associated with Intrusion-Related Copper Deposits-Examples from Latin America.

Speaker

Doug Kirwin

Synopsis

Tourmaline breccia pipes are widely distributed in the Andes and are associated with a variety of intrusion-related copper deposits, including giant porphyries.

Careful observations of textural features, geochemistry and geometry may provide practical vectors for porphyry copper and polymetallic precious metal exploration.
