The origins, localities and workings of Cornish Technology and impacts on the Australian and New Zealand mining history.

Across Australia and New Zealand, the impact of the Cornish people, their technology and labour advanced the mining industry. Their heritage impacts to this day, laying down the foundations to supply minerals and commodities for industry in the past. John Taylor will walkthrough their steps in how they did it, using hammer, steam and human muscle.

This will include a period video after the Q&A on the actual workings of an Cornish Engine in operation back at the time they were still in operation (1947-1949).
