Geochemistry QA/QC workshop

AusIMM event co-promoted by AIG

The practical application of QA/QC has been a specialty of Dennis’ for many years and has been applied across a variety of commodities (gold, base metals, industrial minerals). The objective of this workshop is to provide a simple and practical review of sampling, analytical methods and data interpretation illustrated with relevant case studies, occasional “train wrecks” and spreadsheet exercises. Dennis is a co-author of a recent review of practical QA/QC published in Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis that is currently “in press”. A pre-publication version of the manuscript is available from: https://doi.org/10.1144/geochem2023-046

The geochemistry QA/QC workshop will involve a full day technical workshop across 4 topics:

part 1 Introduction to QA/QC & Sampling
part 2 Digestions, analysis, certified reference materials
part 3 QA/QC programs, design, pitfalls, interpretation
part 4 Overview of key points, Q & A session

Wine tasting follows the course.
