Lucy McClean

Lucy McClean is a passionate advocate and leader in the minerals industry. Lucy started in the minerals industry over 20 years ago and has had wide ranging experience across environment, community, and governance as well as extensive experience in industry advocacy, diversity and inclusion. She currently holds the position of Director NSW, Victoria & Tasmania at AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) and an honorary role as Chair of WIMnet (Women in Mining NSW). Lucy received international recognition in 2022 as one of ‘100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining’ (WIM100) and in 2023 was named as Inclusion and Diversity Champion in the NSW Women in Mining Awards.

 

Russell Meares

Russell is a seasoned explorationist, and has led teams exploring for precious and base metal deposits in Australia, Asia and the South West Pacific, resulting in a number of discoveries during his +50 year career. In his Clayton’s retirement, he has “given back” through working on committees of industry organisations and professional associations, as well as mentoring a number of inspiring young professionals in the exploration and mining sectors. Although he was awarded an OAM for services to mineral exploration in 2021, he is not resting on his laurels, and he continues to draw his inspiration from the passion and achievements of his colleagues.
