Reporting Mineral Resources
The JORC Code sets out explicit requirements for public reporting of Mineral Resources, and provides recommendations and guidelines to assist geologists with establishing sound processes to support the reporting of such estimates. The Checklist of Assessment and Reporting Criteria (JORC Code Table 1) is a detailed checklist of information that must be provided in a public report of a new or materially changed Mineral Resource estimate.
This workshop is designed as a refresher for geological staff who currently take Competent Person responsibility for public reporting of Mineral Resources; or those that may be able to do so now or in the near future. The workshop will provide an overview of the key elements of the Code and how it is monitored, focusing on the issues most relevant to Competent Person responsibility. It will present common Mineral Resource-related compliance issues and cover relevant rules of the Australian Securities Exchange. Reporting case studies will be used to illustrate how the JORC Code is applied.
