The Lake Wells SOP Project – A brine hosted mineral resource

A liquid mineral resource that is pumped out of the ground is different to the usual ore body in Western Australia and there have been a number of challenges as Australian Potash Limited has progressed development of the Lake Wells Sulphate of Potash Project. Simon will provide some detail and context around several of these challenges, such as how to calculate a liquid hosted resource, who can competently estimate such a resource, and the cross-over between the disciplines of geology and hydrogeology.

Simon Page, Principal Hydrogeologist, Australian Potash
Simon is a Hydrogeologist with 25 years’ experience in the UK, Europe, and Australia with a combination of hands on, field-based roles and leadership positions in multi-disciplinary teams. Before his 4 years with Australian Potash, Simon most recently spent 10 years as a specialist hydrogeologist with Rio Tinto.
